“My time at ISS was more beneficial than I could have ever imagined at the beginning of the season. With a mentor who took the time to talk through the principles of both the art of scouting as well as putting together a professional report, along with monthly conference calls with well-established industry members, the ISS Mentorship Program was imperative in moving forward with my scouting aspirations. I have, and will continue to, recommend anyone interested in scouting to apply to this program.”

– David McDonald, named “ISS Mentorship Scout of the Year” for the 2016-2017 ISS Mentorship Program (Niagara)

“The ISS Mentorship Program was the best decision I’ve made in pursuing my dream of working in the hockey industry. The program allowed me to be a part of the amazing ISS staff and has opened doors for me to continue scouting for the foreseeable future. Anyone looking at starting their hockey career should look no further than the ISS Mentorship Program!”

Jameson Ewasiuk, 2016 ISS Mentorship Program Member (Alberta), hired on as a 2016-17 ISS Amateur Scout

“The ISS Mentorship Program was able to teach and reinforce basic skills, such as what to watch for. It also taught advanced skills like, how to best complete reports for industry insiders. The ability to learn RinkNet, an industry wide program, and get feedback from ISS staff, as well as others within the industry, during calls or at games, shows how strong the program is. The ISS Mentorship Program is an excellent learning platform and I wish I had done it sooner.”

Ben Gallant, named “ISS Mentorship Scout of the Year” for the 2015-2016 ISS Mentorship Program (Ottawa)

“ISS allowed me the opportunity to learn from the ground up. They gave me the tools, resources, and supports to assist me along the way and my mentor was an encyclopedia of information. If you’re passionate about scouting and are willing to put in the work, it is extremely rewarding. I’d recommend the ISS Mentorship Program to anyone.”

Samir Mourani, named “ISS Mentorship Scout of the Year” for the 2017-2018 ISS Mentorship Program (Toronto)
