ISS Hockey Promotes Eight Scouting Interns To Its Scouting Staff

PositionsThe inaugural 2013-2014 ISS Hockey Scouting Internship Program has been a true success, with eight interns being promoted to the ISS Hockey scouting staff for the 2014-2015 season. Applications for the 2014-2015 Internship Program are now open.

June 19, 2014 [Guelph, ON] This past 2013-2014 season has provided ISS Hockey with an outstanding class of passionate and knowledgeable interns. With the current season coming to an end, ISS Hockey has released its list of interns that will progress into ISS Hockey’s Amateur Scouting Department:

  • JOSHUA BIRMINGHAM – Ohio, United States
  • GREG BLOW – Alberta, Canada
  • DYLAN FRANSON – British Columbia, Canada
  • MATT GRAINDA – Indiana, United States
  • BRENT KEATING – Connecticut, United States
  • OLLI LAHDESMAKI – Helsinki, Finland
  • NICK PERRI – New York, United States
  • MAURICE MEAGHER – Halifax, Canada

“We had the opportunity to work with a valuable group of individuals and are pleased to further their careers in the hockey industry by working in our amateur scouting department,” comments ISS Hockey’s Director of Scouting, Dennis MacInnis.

Although not all interns were promoted to become ISS scouts, many have advanced with other organizations within the hockey industry. ISS Hockey is proud to see our interns gain the experience and knowledge necessary to be rewarded with these opportunities, and we wish these individuals all the best in their future hockey endeavors.

“Exposure is really what is important for me, and obviously ISS can offer that,” comments newly named ISS Hockey Amateur Scout, Nick Perri from New York. “I believe that ISS offers me the best opportunity to develop my skills as a scout.”

The ISS Hockey Scouting Internship Program will be accepting applications now until September 30th, 2014 for the 2014-2015 internship program.
