ISS Hockey December Release: Rising and Falling

arrowsISS Hockey released ISS Top 30 for December, rankings of top prospects for the 2016 NHL Draft on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015. The following is a showcase of rising and falling prospects within December’s release:

RISING:

Nathan Bastian (Mississauga, OHL)
One of the most improved players in the OHL, really starting to round out his game in the offensive and defensive ends. Big body is most effective when working along walls.

Taylor Raddysh (Erie, OHL)
Goal scorer with ability to find open ice. Excellent hockey sense, uses body well to gain advantage/make plays. willing to drive net hard.

Cameron Morrison (Youngstown, USHL)
Highly skilled Rookie currently leading Youngstown Phantoms in scoring, really jumps out in a game, good size, powerful skater and good acceleration.

Alexander Debrincat (Erie, OHL)
OHL’s scoring leader right now, Debrincat is starting to make believers out of ISS staff. Despite his lack of size he just keeps producing big-time numbers. Has that ability to spin off checks and avoid taken big hits. If he was even 5.11 would be top 3 pick!

FALLING:

Kale Clague (Brandon, WHL)
Just hasn’t produced as expected, Clague was expected to have breakout year on stacked Brandon team. Mobile puck moving defender still has time to turn his season around.

Otto Makinen (Tappara, FinJrA)
More a case of others moving up than Makinen falling. Was solid at recent 5 Nations tournament, does everything well but nothing exceptional.

Sean Day (Mississauga, OHL)
Questionable hockey sense and lack of compete level has hurt Day’s ranking. Has all the tools just not sure he has the tool box to make it work.

Brandon Saigeon (Hamilton, OHL)
Power forward simply hasn’t developed as expected since getting drafted 1st Round, 4th Overall in 2014 OHL daft. With just 5 points in 23 games and minus 14 to  say he has been inconsistent would be understatement.
