ISS Hockey Announces Two NEW Scouting Combine Locations

ISS Hockey to host Scouting Combines in Novi (Detroit), MI and Cole Harbour (Halifax), N.S.

April 24, 2014 [Guelph, ON] ISS Hockey announces two new ISS Scouting Combine locations for the 2014 season. On Saturday, June 21st, 2014 an ISS Scouting Combine will be held at the Novi Ice Arena in Novi, MI. Another will take place on Monday, September 29th, 2014 at Cole Harbour Place in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia.

With the recent announcement of the Oshawa, ON and Guelph, ON ISS Scouting Combine locations, the additional Combine occurring in Novi (Detroit), MI will aid in catering to the many talents found in the Southern Ontario and Greater Detroit area. Also, the Halifax Scouting Combine is tailored to an alternate geographical region of the Maritimes, in which ISS Hockey was earlier this February.

Participants will part-take in on-ice and off-ice testing and skill evaluations throughout the day in front of a panel of ISS Hockey scouts.

Each ISS Scouting Combine includes, on-ice and off-ice elite testing, skill evaluation drills, individual player scouting reports, and much more. Players participating will be given a free login to view testing results from each on-ice and off-ice test completed during the combine. For the first time, there will be results and reports given to each player, so they can determine what aspects of their fitness and play they can work towards.

Data results collected from the combine will be used by NHL, NCAA, CHL and ISS scouts to enhance the evaluation process for all players. Access is made available through the RinkNet Scouting and Player Management System.

“Players need information to improve, and we want to provide this”, says Stu Siegel, CEO of HockeyTech Inc. “By providing test results and scouting reports, we allow athletes to see which areas of testing and skill, such as reaction time and reading the play, focus should be directed.”

All players interested in attending an ISS Hockey Scouting Combine will need to register online.
