August 6, 2015 [Waterloo, ON] This past 2014-15 season has provided ISS Hockey with an outstanding class of passionate and knowledgeable scouts. “We had the opportunity to work with a valuable group of individuals and are pleased to further their careers in the hockey industry by working in our amateur scouting department,” comments ISS Hockey’s Director of Scouting, Dennis MacInnis.

“Joining the Mentorship Program with ISS was the best move I’ve made in starting my career in hockey scouting. Not only is it a great learning experience to develop as a scout, but they offer constant and consistent exposure to help you make a name for yourself in the industry. At the end of my internship, I was offered a position with an OHL team, but chose to stick with ISS.” – Pete Judge, ISS Hockey Amateur Scout

Although not all scouts were promoted to become ISS Amateur Scouts, many have advanced with other organizations within the hockey industry. We take this time to note these Alumni:

  • PAVEL BILYK, Halton Ravens Jr. A of the GMJHL
  • CHRIS HENRY, Windsor Spitfires of the OHL
  • CASEY KUDLER, Vancouver Giants of the WHL
  • NICOLAS LEPORE, Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL
  • ROBB MYERS, Player Representative at PPI

ISS Hockey is proud to see our alumni gain the experience and knowledge necessary to be rewarded with these opportunities, and we wish these individuals all the best in their future hockey endeavors.

“The ISS Mentorship program was an amazing, hands on experience. Led by leaders in the industry, the program provides a holistic experience to help prepare you for a career scouting. I highly recommend this program to anyone interested in honing their skills and pursuing a career in hockey.” – Tyson Quibell, ISS Hockey Amateur Scout

The ISS Hockey Scouting Mentorship Program will be accepting applications until September 30th, 2015 for the 2015-16 Scouting Mentorship program.
